Rewire costs

I would say that £950 for a rewire in London sounds about right......

You do live in a studio flat or garden shed afterall dont you!!

I would NOT, EVER IN A MILLION YEARS employ someone on these terms for a job that should likely cost at least double that; obviously dependant on your requirements and house size etc..

I say get this person at your peril and sleep well!

The saying about monkeys/peanuts, as BAS stated, is apt.

Get more quotes I would suggest, and ask a few questions and get a feel for one that seems both decent and reasonably priced.

Regards.

Yes it was started but needs completion, as last guy was putting downlighters in and the loft insulation almost caught alight etc. Basically this guy needs to go through the work and install downlights in some areas also. He stated that theres only one wire to some of the sockets and says there should be two. Maybe he means just putting cables in for the other guy to do, not connecting to anything. He suggested him showing me to do it as well, but Im not sure about this idea.
Yes at present £1700 is lowest, £3k is average with full list of works and £4430 plus vat which seems a bit too costly!

Cheers Mr Owl, I will it is very cheap, too cheap I think. Nooo believe it or not some london houses are huge! Mines a typical 3 bed semi tho. big enough for me.
At the mo the 3k one is lookin the most professional tbh.
