Hey guys,
Have whole flat roof to redo. i am replacing the roof windows (fakro) while i am at it as they are 20+ years old.
we are planning on adding a slight pitch to the roof to allow for better drainage.
we are also going to raise the height of the roof windows to allow for better drainage away from the windows- most were leaking.
there are these 2 roof windows where it is very tricky to access on one side as shown.
the wall there has external insulation.
The new roof membrane will be single ply which will need to go behind the EWI and fix onto the masonry.
How would you best approach these two windows in terms of replacement. We cant remove them as they allow valuable light into the hall below.
I suppose the problem here is how do you best detail everything for the waterproof seal?
Would frameless roof windows be easier?
Any help appreciated!!
