Been getting a bit of work experience with a spark recently. Seen some very old and dodgy wiring in a few places but never seen anything like this before.
When the front cover came off the board the entire top half had rotted away. As a result the earth bar was flapping about. There were two 2.5mm² radials that power the sockets which both have copper wire in place of fuse wire. One cable had serious scorching and the insulation had begun to melt and drip into the fuse holders.
Unfortunately due to my camera phone having no light I couldn't get this pic in situ so this is the board removed.
