Rover 45, front tyres rubbing off

Personally I don't think so - but there's no harm in trying! I'd still suspect tracking issues, and if there are any problems with the suspension geometry I'd live with it, and buy cheaper or even part worn tyres.

When I say edges, I'm referring to the outside edge on both front tyres.

I'll post how I get on.
 
Sorry I gave you the wrong information earlier. I thought it was the inside edge for some reason and therefore mentioned excessive negative camber.

But its the outside edge and very unlikely to have excessive positive camber (wheel lying out in the head). Suspension wear (bottom joints) will not cause excessive positive camber.

Outside edge would suggest tracking toed-in (front of the wheel pointing inwards).
