what do you reckon?

bit of a berk? unfunny? lame comedian.

sad scraping the bottom of the barrel, resurected has been comedian staring in churchill insurance adverts?

yeah right my thoughts too.

except.....

not the real Roy Walker.

As a teenager Walker performed in the Francis Longford Choir, then worked as a riveter in the shipyard. He was the Northern Ireland champion hammer thrower for two years, and represented his country internationally. He spent a short time as a comedy partner of James Young before spending seven years in the British army. [1]

He came to fame in 1977 by winning the talent show New Faces, receiving the highest mark ever given to a comedian. [2] He was also one of The Comedians seen on the 1970s show of the same name.

funny how you can misjudge people

yea, i remember it as well.......my old granny was sitting across from me confused as to what all the hilarity was about  :D

My Granny had us all in stitches without realising what she'd said.

She was talking about the foulness of swearing:

"B*gger, F*ck & Sh*t", she said, "They're all below the belt."

Oh, how we fell about laughing!

And, at the age of 29 (me) and 91 (her), that was the one and only time I ever heard her say any of those words!

When the associated clips come up beside it , i wonder what the odds where on that group of letters coming up on countdown

There's a technique used to warm up an audience where the use of intentional bloopers get the audience going. It's used all the time.

Other outakes are done for the "christmas tapes"
