rude emails in inbox

hi guys

i keep getting these types of emails from people i dont even know, they are very rude...i must have deleted hundreds of them but they just keep coming...really making me mad. as my children sometime use my laptop and i dont want them seeing them...how can i get rid of them permenantly ?.....i have tried the junk email filter, adding each particular email address but keep getting newer ones coming through....the reason this is happeneing is because i joined this site called "fullrealeases.com" once to get a certain software...ever since all this has been happening...thinking of changing my email address....dont really want to do this as i have had it for years and most of my freinds have it. ..cheers

Unfortunately, this is a common problem. Does your ISP offer any filtering?

Which filtering software have you tired? You may have to blacklist everything and then add your known contacts to the whitelist. This can be time consuming, but may be the only way. I use a number of email addresses. I have a main one, which I only use for trusted recipients and others that I use for anything that might attract SPAM.

you have unsubscribed from this site now? the mails might dry up after a year or so.

Create yourself some extra email addresses for uses that might generate spam. Most ISPs alllow to to create multiple addresses

If the spam contains keywords like "enlargement" "viaga" "cialis" busty" "lesbians" then you can create email rules (I guess you are using Outlook Express)


use tool, message rules, mail

Apply this rule after the message arrives
Where the message body contains 'Penis' or 'Enlargement' or 'Viagra' or 'enhancement' or 'Pharma'
Do not Download it from the server

and

Apply this rule after the message arrives
Where the message body contains 'penis' or 'viagra' or 'enlargement' or 'pharma'
Delete it from server

You can also get a Spam Filter. I use Norton Internet Security but some people say it slows down your computer.

other thing, although you have blocked the address why not go into blocked senders and remove the bit before the @

so for example

[email protected]

and

[email protected]

become @tyu.com

so if they send anything it gets deleted (ok sent to spam)

*!*@*.tyu.com

this should filter out any crap coming from anyone at all at tyu.com

im not using outlook express...ive got a hotmail.com email address
i can cancel membership, but i paid nearly $50 to join, even though it said to join would cost $1....rip off!!....by cancelling im sure ill still keep getting these rude emails...ive emailed fullreleases.com but they never reply back..
