SALUS thermostat ST620WBC

The backlight on my thermostat will not turn off after changing the batteries. I have reset, re-paired sveral times and the thermostat works perfectly. However as the backlight is on all the time batteries last about 10 days!
Do I need a new stat?

Salus not the best problem your having is known on that model.
Replace with something better we use EPH combi pack 4 but lots of choice out there.
