How is it that Santa breaking into a house by the chimney does not set of the alarm ?

Question posed by a young lad who is technically aware and believes in Father Christmas. ( last year Santa left sooty footprints around the Christmas tree even though the alarm was set )

Rudolph has anti infra red fur and stands in front of the PIR.

Mine asked the same many years back, that seemed to suffice :D

Thats a rude question, tut.

He chucks Rudolph off.............god it gets worse

Santa's red coat is made of red tinfoil so blocks the IR detector (which isn't looking at the fireplace anyway

Tell him you omit the zone for the living room so he can get in and out without setting the alarm off.

He sets off his E.M.P within the property, does his round, then fixes the alarm, along with everything else before leaving the propertey.

He just walks in or drops down the chimney because he knows that 50% of people with alarms have given up on them the first time the panels battery fails or they get a panel fault or reset that is going to cost more than £60 to fix. So they stop setting the alarm because they have forgotten the code anyway or the person they bought the house off never gave them the code and they don't want to pay £150 for a reset or reprogram.

or Santa is miraculously exactly the same temperature as the room he has entered because its winter and he has been on a cold sled and therefore the sensors don't see a differential heat signature.

Of course if Rudolph or Santa were in tin foil the sensors would detect the movement as the 'drop out' moves accross the lenses focus zones. Tut tut telling porky pies to children.. :)

Not forgetting Yale alarms fail weakly and have substandard batteries and installers.

But thats another story HOHOHOHOHOHoe
