Yes I tried it and it's invalid. I just need to assign a tag so my friend can come in and look at the house without remembering anything. But seems impossible

Soft reset ....power down mains and battery , short nvm pins and repower at same time ....should reset user1 to 1234 and eng code to 7890 only , turn off with 1234 , box back up , reset time and date , eng code and enter new user 01 code
Obviously at your own risk ....
