Just take the all the green and white out of the aux connection and put them back in when you have extended cable.
Extending the bell wire will cause bell to ring,unless you disconnect at the outside bell.

Thank you again, assuming I leave the red and blue cables connected to the aux or do I remove the lot?

Do I just remove the cables from the external bell outside or do I remove the battery too? ( I think there is an battery) I just don't want to attempt anything that will require reprogramming.
