Hi all,
Amateur here. The horizontal pipe labelled in image, part of kitchen sink waste, is leaking. The connection is poor between the pipe itself and the bit which goes under the strainer (and frankly, the connection at the other end of the pipe leaks too).
Does an appropriate washer need to be put in? I’ve bought packets from B&Q but none seem to fit. (“Trap seal replacement kit” etc) I’m pretty sure there weren’t any washers on the pipe before though.
Also, the plastic ‘nut’ on the horizontal pipe can’t be removed (see images) – so you can’t take it off and then lay a washer on the pipe, and screw the nut so that it compresses it. All I’ve been able to do is sort of try jamming some of the washers into the thread itself…
Cheers,
John
