Sealing electrical cables

The electric has first fixed a house and a couple of cables exit the block work externally I need to seal these before the plasterer daubs boards on. What is best for this?
 
Clear silicone.

There is some putty on the market but I've only ever seen silicone.

Blow or vacuum dust out the best you can before you fill
 
Basic anything you want, tend to use what ever is in the applicator gun, fire stop, silicone, chalk, really should not use silicone as the non water drying can affect the cables, but not enough to worry about. Spare bit of plaster will do, idea is to stop the cable moving so it can't chaff, and to stop spiders and mice entering the home.
