Searching for own media

Why is it that when I search for my own media that I've posted in posts (not uploaded to albums), not all of it is returned in a search using the "posted by" + "me" check box?

How else am I supposed to find my media?

Use google. Type "site:diynot.com woody" and switch to images. You can add other keywords too.

I'll give it a try. It just seems odd that the site's own search function does not actually do a proper search

Perhaps the developers thought it pointless, given that Google will do it better.

A bit like a database I had written for work.

When I asked for a certain search function, the developer told me that he could do it for £X thousand, or I could use the Excel export function for free......
