Second oldest profession

I agree with anobium

i've concluded that from:- Mary magdalen she was a prostitute and Jesus was a Carpenter   so both date back over 2000 years any further back than that well keep guessing :?:

his dad, Joseph was a carpenter, Jesus was a stonemason.

its not gardening its landscaping. who do you think built the bloody garden of eden for them to look after!

I have been giving this matter a great deal of thought betwixt watching the footie, having a pint or two, and during a round of golf and have come up with another serious contender for what could be the second oldest profession.
Bearing in mind that food was a necessity and in the absence of Tesco's and Asda, man had to hunt for food, doesn't it follow that man would have soon realised that he needed some kind of implement to cut up the Sunday joint.
Again in the absence of a J Lewis or Debenham's there was a desperate need for the first knife and fork.
I therefore conclude that toolmaking is the second oldest profession

I still think it was wheel making (2nd) as people could eat without forks and hunting was the first profession
