Hello guys,

I'm after a little bit of advise and please excuse my ignorance.

How do you go about securing roof rafters to ridge plate which is chemi fixed to the wall on a lean to roof for a single story extension?

I've cut and spiked the roof rafters to the ridge plate as a temporary fix and coach bolted them into the ceiling joists on the other end.

I've been advised that spiking is enough for a tile roof but I can't see it myself.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your response.

I've done that on the wall plate end, I'm refering to the high end that buts against the plate I've bolted to the wall.

Thanks in advance

Same principle. Turn that image 90 ° counter clockwise and cut the top bit of the rafter off
