Hi, I moved to my new house a few months ago and so far I have not done anything with the heating. The house has got a separate system for the radiators with a gas boiler, and one for the hot water with a separate tank. I had to remove a few radiators and I wanted to change a few valves but I am not sure how to isolate the system. In the loft I have a pressure tank for the radiators but I can not find a valve to close it down. I have some pipes comming down from the loft through a gap in the wall wich is covered by a wooden panel. Is it likely to be there? I would like to know the chances before I start stripping the board.
This is one question. The second one as I never had gas in my life is what do I need to do to set up the gas boiler which at the moment is shut down. I am guessing I will need to call British Gas but is it better to do it once I sorted out the new valves or does it not really matter?
Thanks for any advice,
Norht
