Shocking Documentary

No-one has yet mentioned that alcohol is ALREADY taxed to the hilt.

The revenue generated by alcohol duty is far in excess of its costs in terms of policing and NHS treatments.

Booze is far more expensive in the UK than it is in most other European countries and they have far fewer problem drinkers - so price is obviously not the determining factor here.

Maybe using ladders should be taxed - in case people fall off them and need treatment.

Or DIYers should have to pass H&S training and fill in risk assesments before commencing any work.

Perhaps those who attempt suicide should be presented with a bill when they come round.

Get real people, we all pay our taxes - both direct and indirect - so we're entitled to the treatment we need when we're ill or injured, whether we have alcohol in our systems at the time or not.
