Probably because when the UK was in the EU it blocked deals due to conflicting interests with the commonwealth...

When the UK slunk away, the EU/NZ deal was apparently the 'easiest in EU history'

Not biggest fish in the Pacific. How's it going with the US? As fast?

Where's the UK deal with the US going?

Oh that's right, nowhere...

Something to do with the UK threatening to break international law regarding the NI protocol...

As for the EU/US deal, the EU rejected TTIP which was a corporate treasure trove and the end of democratic input to trade deals...

The UK of course was in favour of TTIP, but then in the UK the tories have always hated the more just European social model!

Well more bad news

A deal between the UK and Japan over the Tempest jet fighter is likely to be announced next week ?

( hang on wait for the remoaners to pile in and rubbish the potential deal :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: )

PMSL...

"Britain could handle exports in Europe, while Japan would take care of the Asian market"

Note the words 'could' (in relation to Britain), and 'would' (in relation to Japan)...

Care to tell us the state of the trade relationship between the UK and Europe?

Consider the deal rubbished!

Is Reuters operating only on the 'dark web'?

Typical brexiteer...

Grasping at straws whilst deep down knowing that brexit never had a chance of fulfilling any of the lies that they fell for

Same as your covid conspiracy ball cocks :ROFLMAO:

Brexit might seem like old news for the general public, but for retailers and food producers who rely on exporting or importing products to and from the Continent, the UK’s exit from the European Union is still a daily concern.

Some aspects of the Brexit deal which have critical impacts on the food and drink sector are still in debate, like the Northern Ireland Protocol, while others have only just been introduced after months of delay, like new trade regulations for imports from the EU, which were brought in on 1st January

Makes you wonder how the h~~l we managed for the 1,000 years before we joined the Common Market

He's so negative all the time. Yet he accuses anyone who vaguely disagrees with him of moaning. No way to live. I do wonder sometimes if he is some kind of influencer. No one in their right mind would post all day, every day about old news they can't change, surely?

I think he is an OCD sufferer.

brexit is still the biggest problem for retailers

RESULTS ARE IN – BREXIT IS STILL THE BIGGEST PROBLEM FOR RETAILERS

Feb 2022

When asked to give the three main challenges they had experienced due to Brexit, 41% of retailers in the UK stated that supply chain issues had been one of the largest challenges, 33% said staffing issues, 31% said import and export tariff concerns, 26% stated profits in the face of slumped sales and 18% said the decline in sales.

Definitely a form of OCD...!

Is that silence as loud as the deafening silence from you over evidence of actual shortages due to Brexit in your local supermarket?

Take no notice, as usual he is making it up to prove a lame point which desperately needs a crutch to prop it up. There are no shortages, there have been no special shortages due to Brexit apart from in Notch's wet dreams.

You cannot expect any retailer to always have stock of everything, retailing just doesn't work like that. Stock levels and what is stocked constantly varies and that is especially true of the retailers like Lidl and Aldi, who often retail what ever they can buy, which is an especially good deal for it's customers. The basic foodstuffs are consistently available and well stocked, the luxury items can vary.

The aim of newspapers and news agencies, is to sell news - the more sensational the headlines the more they sell, so it is in their interests to big news up, any news. Those reading have to learn to work out what is important, plus what is true from the many overstated facts. Some people lack the ability to read with a pinch of salt and just accept everything as fact, no matter what the source, just so long as it fits their twisted view and narrative.

I have to say it's terribly amusing watching brexiteers trying to buoy each other up with imaginary benefits of their folly...

Just like rats in a sack of their own making...

It's only a matter of time before they realise that they are the authors of their own downfall, and then they'll turn on each other because they aimed their ignorance at the wrong target...

Actually it's already happening!
