This heat wave we have in some parts of the UK

That must have something to do with Brexit ?? Must be some type of link ? That can be found ?

creating massive trade barriers was always going to damage the economy….permanently.
Brexit was never about trade. The subsequent trading problems are due to EU intransigence.
The European Union is considering launching more legal proceedings against the UK before the end of the month over violations of the Northern Ireland protocol
Typical EU aggression.

This war in the Ukraine must have some type of Brexit angle to it
The Ukraine situation was caused by EU expansionist aggression.

The EU are currently blockading goods travelling from Russia to Kaliningrad, the Russian enclave separated from Russia by Lithuania. Olaf Scholz is calling for the EU and Lithuania to relax these restrictions and allow Russia to move goods through the EU single market to Kaliningrad because because it's all part of their country.

At the same time Scholz wants tougher restrictions on the movement of goods between mainland Britain and NI (which is all part of the same country).

The UK economy has fallen far behind the EU since Brexit

Britain’s GDP per head has grown just 3.8 per cent since the referendum, while the EU’s has grown by 8.5 per cent

The difference has become most pronounced since the UK formally left the EU in January 2020, a period which also coincided with the emergence of Covid-19. Both the UK and EU were hit hard by the pandemic, but the EU’s recovery has been more robust. As of the last quarter of 2021, the UK’s GDP per head was 0.2 per cent lower than before the pandemic. The EU’s, by contrast, had grown by 1.5 per cent

UK is way behind France on wages

“The UK is facing a toxic combination: low-income households in the UK are 22 per cent poorer than their counterparts in France, and typical household incomes are 9 per cent lower”

income inequality in the UK was higher than any other large European country in 2018

That what you get by voting Tory and Brexit :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Not going too well in Italy at the moment. I thought everything in Euroland was going swimmingly?

Mottie says “the best thing about Brexit is I can still buy butter from my local supermarket”

Probably because when the UK was in the EU it blocked deals due to conflicting interests with the commonwealth...

When the UK slunk away, the EU/NZ deal was apparently the 'easiest in EU history'
