Cheese on toast

She's right you know.

If you toast both sides first and then don't 100% cover the surface with cheese you end up with burnt edges.

Yuk

I agree! I only toast one side.

Mind you, this comes from the (then) teenager whose first cheese on toast had to be scraped out of the toaster....I'm no' kidding!!

Chalk up another vote for toasting one side before adding cheese.
Lightly toast one side, turn over, add cheese and tabasco sauce and grill to your liking - food of the Gods.
Two siders clearly haven't got a clue.

Oh well, it seems the Mother in Law is right.

I'll have to try cheese on bread with the other side toasted then I guess.

regards

Fred

Toast both sides, ketchup on followed by cheese and grill till cheese just starts to brown. 8)

Come on Simon, didn't you think to turn the toaster on its side so the cheese points upwards?!?! (I actually saw someone do this once)

Another vote for both sides being toasted. It's fair braw with Worcestershire sauce on top.
