shower pump would not start

sorry. First time in forum ever. The Flange is Essex. Top of the highest loop is more -less at the bottom of c/w tank
Essex flange is probably the best you can fit so at least that’s OK but you should have 22mm H/C feeds to the pump, not 15mm; max length for 22mm is 5m but for 15mm feeds it’s just 2m or you just won’t get the flow rate!

With Salamander pumps, you need 600mm from the bottom of the CW storage tank to the highest point of any up & over pipe work, it’s this & the minimum unpumped flow rate or 1 litre/min at the shower head that determines the need for a negative head pump. RSP is a positive head pump & not really suitable, you will either need to change the pipe layout, raise the CWS tank or fit a negative head pump kit; don’t forget you will still need vents at the top of the loops or you will continually air lock the pump eventually causing it’s demise & Sally won’t cover the warranty as the pump has been incorrectly installed.

Was your “plumber” responsible for all this?
