Just wondering when people post a link for something on this forum or any one for that matter, do they replace the link address with a name like "here" or "linky" silly question I know Thanks

you mean like if I were to link to diynot's home page by putting CLICK ME

I assume you do so here goes

[ url=http://www.whatever.com] Your text here [ /url]

but dont leave a space after the square brackets, I only left spaces to show you, if I hadnt done it would have made a link

ps, best to copy/paste the url itself to avoid typos and therefore dead links

The reason I do it is to keep the post tidy. Some web links can be very long and will span over several lines if you let it.

I normally use Click
