Comp fittings and boss white .We want to connect to copper. Should we use olive compression fitting or the builder likes using plastic push on fittings. I suggested adding boss white, but he thinks it will slip. What do you think?

I was thinking more about my question than the workman's description, he's a kitchen/bathroom fitter.More to the point why have you let a builder loose in your bathroom refit...
If you let him re-tile and seal up over that remaining pipe, think how you will feel ripping it all up again when (not if) it leaks.
Seriously, bite the bullet and get it all removed while it is easily accessible.
you wont get any plastic fittings to fit it, the pipes are not 15mm and 22mmWe want to connect to copper. Should we use olive compression fitting or the builder likes using plastic push on fittings. I suggested adding boss white, but he thinks it will slip. What do you think?

yes but last time I tried to fit a 15mm compression straight to 1/2" inch Truwell I was filing the pipe for best part of an hour to get the olive on and then it sheared the pipe after about a month or so , replace the lot is the only real answerHe's using 15mm and 22mm compression fittings. The pipes are 15.09 and 21.55mm
