Hello

I have a ring main on a 32A MCB protected by an RCD - I want to add a fused spur at 3A. Load is minimal - about 1A tops so there is plenty of room, but is it notifiable/do I need an electrician/will building control be all upset?

In what room(s) will you be altering/extending the wiring? Unless kitchen or bathroom (and assuming there will be no work outside the house) then you probably don't need to notify.

Trunking (empty) is already buried so cable is > 50mm deep in plaster - did check 7671 - was just unsure of building control bit

Thank you
