Hi, I have a single cable into my flat but the socket it goes into has tv, sky and fm outputs.

Is this possible?

I thought sky needed it's own cables?

The reasons I can't just plug in and check are:
1) I don't have sky yet but want it.
2) The aerial is not connected to the socket (really, I bought the place of a nut)
3) The aerial wire and socket is in the wrong side of the room. I want to move it, but I want to know it works first!

If it's indeed possible all three signals can go down one cable I'll find a sky box to see if it works.

Thanks for any advice,

Tom

With 1 cable you can get Sky, but not Sky+ or a second Skybox in a different room.

You would need a Triplex Wall Plates (signal decombiners) similar to the ones near the bottom here

http://satcure.co.uk/accs/wall_plates.htm

to split the signals on the cable into separate TV, Radio and Sat sockets.

You can also use the feed for Freesat, you don't have to buy a Sky box or package.
