My cold is mains fed and I'm looking to install a single impeller on hw (tank fed). I've already raised the tank to ensure I have the minium ltr/min feed but what I'm wondering is, if at the bath/shower I start mixing the cold and hot then isn't that going to affect the hw ltr/min feed and affect the pump? Currently it is so unbalanced that slightly opening cold water too much overwhelms the HW and even pushes it back (already fitted double check valve for this). I understand that mixer taps are supposed to work at equal pressure but this would surely still affect the max litre/min flow and cut into the minimum margin required by the pump.

Pumped whole house hot can work really well if done correctly.
We fit a pump matched in output to dynamic cold pressure.
Always use stewart turner monsoon pumps fitted to manufacturers instructions.
