Smart Meters, who's installing them?

I have seen and heard of Smart Meters (radio operated reading etc) being installed around the country slowly.

Anybody know who does it in the Northwest apart from UU?

AFAIK, they are currently only being installed into non-dom properties.

Meter plus installl them round here, I presume on behalf of all the suppliers?

there is a plan for them to be installed everywhere by 2020 so im told. recruitment companys like rig, vital etc are handling the contracts for uu they just had a recruitment drive for new installers covering the country.

There is a company installing them for domestic customers if you switch to them. Can't remember the name though.

Sorry for the very late reply, been busy!

I want to know because my company seem to be keeping me at the numbty level of meter fitting. I want to get up to speed on installing 1 and 3 phase smart meters, before the big shift. Putting in pole position for the better pay when its all rolled out.
