Hi
A key has snapped inside my upvc front door.
I can lock the door from outside but not from within.
There is not enough of the key sticking out to get any purchase on with tweezers and long pliers etc
Is there another way of getting the stuck bit out ? or is my only option a new lock or locksmith?
any tips on removing the key or lock would be appreciated

several ideas

open the door try tapping below the barrel firmly with a bit off wood
this is unlikley to work as the tumblers will be stuck in the vees but worth a try

take a 2mm drill bit drill in to the stub of the key at an angle downwards 3 or 4mm slowly then carefuly pull back and hopfully your sorted

I actually cracked it now.
So I post back in case anyone has a similar problem in future.
Took the barrel out of the door and with a straightened paper clip and a bit of jiggling plus gravity enough of the key popped out to get a hold of :D
thanks for advice anyway
