So come on, pick Boris's successor.

liar.

look at the part of your post I quoted

it was a direct response to your comment about the refrain scheme only set up in 2017.
Labour were in power during the time I was referring to, my point being that EU funding was restricted to those who didn’t want it and wasn’t available for those that really needed it. You’re just too quick to blame the conservatives for anything and everything. What part of 'Many years ago' didn’t you quite get? Do you think Labour via the ESF did any favours for those that needed. Oh yeah, near,y forgot, it was all run through Labour controlled Newham council. Not a Tory involved anywhere in that particular gravy train.

Many years ago when I had not long been in the training world, we had courses funded for those that were released from prison, convicted thieves, those 'at risk' of offending, drug users etc etc. Most of those never finished the course and were really only coming for the attendance allowance they got. It was funded by the ESF. (European social fund). One day a local mum contacted me to ask if her son could come on the course. He had none of the problems of the others, he had just left school and had no prospects, couldn’t get a job so wanted to train as a mechanic. I contacted the funders to ask if he could be funded. I was surprised and a little annoyed when they told me that there were simply no funds or funders for people like him.
I can't believe why so many people, and official organisations, will still offer what we still have to undeserving people and yet fail to support our own. Why?

Nonsense, just another rope-em-in Wail bulls hit trope.

It's a natural reaction to have, however funding doesn't and shouldn't operate in a bubble.

Fact is after leaving school any further education in the UK doesn't come for free. I believe that night school type education has been pretty cheap in the past. University was once but parental support often figured. I vaguely remember my mom doing a bit long ago at a school. Some minor qualification. RCA I think.

Considering that some targetted education for a limited number of people doesn't really relate. It's effectiveness does though - or should.

What about University costs in Scotland and Wales? I am not up to date on this though. NI - pass.

Yeah those Chancer sponging parasites are so incredibly lazy they are prepared to give up their life saving and travel thousands of miles just for £5.81 a day.

It's far less effort to come here and take advantage of our countries, societies and civilisation than sort out their own s*ithole countries.

Always plenty of gullible lefties willing to fall for their implausable sob stories.

From day one of Ukraine being invaded, the men there fought like lions. Suppose they could have thrown their hands up and sneaked into Western Europe to sponge off of the taxpayers there. But unlike the dark faces filling the dinghies coming here, Ukranian men have their pride. These men really are 'giving up their lives' - but not for selfish reasons.

The fighting like lions bit is true, but there are many wars producing innocent, worthy refugees. In the case of Ukraine there's an uncomfortable acknowledgment which is perfectly natural and significant in evolution, that these folk do "look like us". It makes a difference. Yes it's racist, but of a type with which I can live.

yet fail to support our own. Why
If you vote Tory, you literally vote for the party that has destroyed our public services….that’s why British people end up homeless, people In work needing food banks, war veterans ending up on the streets.

Its what you voted for.

Yeah because we only get those things when the Tories are in power, don’t we?

I agree. I have said elsewhere that since Cameron, May and Boris we have had many very poor political decisions and it is our inept politicians as much as petty EU and especially French activities which are beginning to ruin our country.
To make matters worse, none of the potential future leaders of the Conservative party fill me with any confidence at all and I'm convinced that after another year or so with 'whoever' in charge, none of today's promises will have been kept.

For that reason, I decided some time ago that I would not vote Conservative in 2024, but instead vote for Reform UK or UKIP (or any such party with true Conservative intentions) should they stand in my constituency. If not, I'll spoil my ballot paper.
Sadly, the way things are going here, the country is likely to be finished and it is primarily the fault of our own leaders.

You'll find there are similar factors entering any country in the world now - just like the EU now. It is a separate "country" as far as we are concerned, now. Just happens to be made up of several. That doesn't matter. Like all it has it's rules - zero check free movement in and out doesn't figure. The majority of countries are exactly the same. :) Even the UK and even when in the EU leaving and coming back.

Your one of the people that showed Boris and Co that they can say anything they like and get away with it as no one checks. Also that pulling certain strings works - better than they expected. You might also not know that the didn't expect to achieve the result of the referndum - only a high enough proportion to carry on with the propaganda and try and force another one. ;) Bit like Scotland.
