Trump has never been taken seriously by educated world leaders. He is seen as a thin skinned egotistical clown. Most that have met him feel he is an embarrassment for the USA. Even his fellow Republicans are disgusted with his leadership.

Totally agree with you, as regards Trump being a laughing stock.

Just not the situation with Covid 19.
 
He is the Boaty MacBoatface of politics. Johnson second.

Perhaps both countries should have ignored the result and chosen David Attenborough instead.
