Folk, very quick question:

To glue a 90 degree butt joint on solid wood worktops (using biscuits), or avoid glue and use a dry joint?

Thanks

Avoid glued joint needs to move with expansion, slotted fixing plates to underside.

A supplementary question: Should I apply a small amount of low modulus clear silicon in the butt joint? I've seen conflicting advice, advising a completely dry joint or using some silicon near the top of the joint.

Thoughts?
