It would depend on why they opposed it (and any claims they made about that would need to be carefully considered in the context of other comments they had made and views they had expressed), and the manner in which they opposed it.

When done by racist football fans against anti-racism protestors, yes.
And what if the booing is done by football fans that aren't racist? Booing per-se isn't racist abuse by any stretch of the imagination.

Im afraid it is only racists who refuse to accept that there are large numbers of racist football fans.
