The second presentation is basically saying these results require further research....... but as the presentation goes against the entrenched beliefs of many "scientists " the points are dismissed out of hand due to emotional responses.

these results require further research

is a fancy way of saying there is no convincing evidence.

A bit like the claim that drinking milk causes autism.

You'll find it's a phrase used a lot in low-quality sensationalist newspapers and website.

They carbon dated a Greenland shark that accidentally got trawled up in a fishing net

was 350 years old. yep its been swimming around since the 1600's

If you could pull out the oceans' bathplug, you'd be amazed at what you'd find.

Well, you might find Lord Lucan, Amelia Earhart and MH370.

So carbon dating comes up with the age of dinosaur fossils in tens of thousands of years.

The presentation given shows he evidence of the dating. This marries up with schweitzers finding of soft dinosaur tissue, blood cells, collegen and degraded dna
The reason this caused such mayhem in the scientific world is that it goes against the 'belief ' that dinosaurs were around millions of years ago.
( organic material cannot be preserved for millions of years).

So we have a paradox ~ surviving organic material from dinosaurs and carbon dating indicating chronology in terms of tens of thousands of years verses the accepted belief that dinosaurs roamed the earth millions of years ago ........they can't both be correct.

But we also have two more things 1. Depictions of dinosaurs in ancient artifacts (worldwide) 2. The legends of dragons ( dinosaur was a word thought up in the 1800's), dinosaurs/dragons were just large reptiles ( kimono dragon), and as you know unlike mammals reptiles never stop growing in their lifetime.

For anyone interested here's the science bit ~

It would take some time, but the Netherlands would take over the world:

I found out there's lots of crap on this forum.

Regarding carbon-14 in fossils:
"Why does dating sedimentary rock or these fossils often show traces of carbon 14? Because they have been exposed to the environment. Sedimentary rock can contain pockets gas that would reflect the atmosphere when the rock was formed. Permineralized fossils could also contain trace amounts of C 14, but it would no longer be in equilibrium with the atmosphere from the time the animal died and test results would typically show ages in the 20,000 + to 45,000 year range. This is not a problem with more recent bones that are not permineralized. "

Once again, we must remember that carbon dating is no use in working out the age of dinosaur bones.
