Need to get some Waxoyl under the car. Would the parafin gun in the Aldi compressor kit do the job ?

forget waxoil. thats old hat these days.

get some dinitrol or the other one whose name escapes me. the dinitrol comes with its own applicator. i've used it many times.

Well, as far as I can see, the jury is still out on that one. I used it about 40 yrs ago (don't know where those cars are now but it did the job then)
The MX5 forum certainly hold it in high regard. I would have thought a 40 psi. blast would be more effective than a DIY spray any-way !

whats the pressure you apply it at got to do with it?

coverage, ability to creep into crevices and its ability to withstand water is what you want. waxoyl compared to other anti corrosion stuff is not as good IMO.

I'm not impressed by Waxoyl at all...I use a spray from Wurth - pricey a bit but good treatment. I get mine from a local car body repairer.
John :)

i'm not condoning this last time i used waxoil i heated it up in an old kettle  then poured it directly into the sills after removing the rear cards, it was much runnier and got everywhere, any excess was collected in tubs under the sill drain holes and reused

The problem with waxoil is that unless you apply it in very hot weather it sets before it creeps into the seams, which is where the rust starts, I find that injecting oil into the hollow sections is as good as anything at keeping the rust at bay, it lays there and creeps giving continious protection. Waxoil or similar is better on exposed surfaces where the mud tends to dry and fall off, taking the lubricant with it.
