I'm consider fitting some external frame seals to the front door of my flat with a view to cutting down on drafts and (maybe) noise transmission from the outside corridor. Not sure what yet, but something like this : https://zeroplus.co.uk/product/adjustable-frame-seal-870/?v=79cba1185463, or equivalent.

Looking at the door frame from the outside there appears to be a slight chamfer to the (i think i've got the right terminology here) jam / stop (thick end at door, narrow end towards corridor) that would need removing for the door seal to flush against.

How might i best go about removing this chamfer in-situ ? I guess it's about 1-2mm deep. removing and replacing the jam / stop isn't really practical as it disappears under the plaster in the corridor wall so i'd need the Management Agents permission - which is a hurdle i'd rather not jump.

Very difficult to remove the chamfer.....with the excluder in place, how about a thin fillet of decorators caulk to hide the gap?
Not permanent, either!
