Ssssssshhhhhh, don't mention Reform.

Reform party are going to make loads of savings by getting rid of the huge spend in DEI

the only problem is: they made up the figures...............but never mind Im sure they can save some money by making poor people starve

I think almost everybody does. But it is a moral question as well as a practical one. As one of the world's richest countries, should we pitch in?
Yes away from our country. We can give them better help where they need it. No need to pay smugglers and trek around the country in order to receive the help that they need.

That would be lovely. But it doesn't match the reality. I would very much prefer that there wasn't this problem. But the truth is that hundreds of thousands of people, for various reasons, make this journey to Europe every year. And I feel that we should help out by taking a (very) small proportion of those. Even though I believe it is not good for the country.

But we've just cut the overseas aid budget which was recognised way to create economic stability and reduce migration.

On this I have to agree with you, I suspect their DOGE ambitions will, in reality, lead to relatively small savings if any.

Scratch the surface of Musk's USA attempt at DOGE and yes, it's delivered savings, however nowhere near the scale they suggested.
