Start by tiling outwards from drain?

Hello

Trying to plan the layout of envelope tiles on a wetroom floor. It’s an Impey Aquadec Easy fit with 4 envelope cuts. I’m using 20cm tiles.

Am I right to start laying the from the drain outwards? I’ve got the drain equidistant from two cuts, which is as good as it gets with an eccentric drain.

It means the long sides of the room will each have an 8cm tile, which I guess balances it.

As you walk in the toilet is directly ahead with a window above it. The toilet and window share a centreline but the tile layout won’t fit with the centreline. Is this something that will forever draw the eye or am I overthinking it? Sorry for the basic sketch below. The drain is red, the WC centreline is green. Thanks

Um, I'm getting a bit confused. Looking online, it seems that tilers start with the corners of four tiles meeting over the centre of the drain, as opposed to my idea of one tile dead centre over the drain. Does it matter?

Tried the marbles trick to see if they roll to drain?
Get that right before you start

Thanks. It's a wetroom former so as long as I'm consistent and follow the envelope cuts it should slope. What I'm trying to work out is a tile layout that ensures the grout lines are correct. I'm just struggling to visualise them!

Lay the tiles out dry with spacers in between and move them around until you are happy.

Thanks. I will when I buy them but I was hoping for a steer in advance so I can think about the overall layout and what the priorities are e.g. shower envelopes, equal edge tiles, centre line as you walk in. Just not sure. If it differs from room to room that’s fine but it was seeing the online videos where the four tiles start at the centre of the drain that threw me.
