I bought a replacement Mccalpine waste for my Rak belfast sink but the sink has a "bulge" underneath which means the threaded screw connector is not long enough to screw into the waste mechanism.

I've seen another for sale but it's the same length so useless. Does anyone know whether these can be bought at different lengths or maybe another waste mechanism bought which is not as deep as the current one, that may allow the screw to reach.
