If I could have been bothered, I'd have told Wrighty "Boll o x ", at least from my end.
What pizzed me off was, as a deluded and optimistic England fan, I wanted us to do well.
And when Sterling (on a couple of hundred grand a week) can't actually kick a ball hard or straight, I can't reconcile that.
For someone to be able to call themselves a footballer, yet show below average ability to actually kick one........that's my peeve.
Sod all to do with his colour.

Open and shut case. It's his performance that's the cause of it.

I don't know anything about football but have just googled the England team and he doesn't appear to be the only black player.

Do the others get equal stick or just him?

Racism was the norm in English football.
Emile Heskey: Racism 'was the norm' in football - ex-England striker

I very much doubt it is restricted to football.
If/when corporal punishment is/was the norm in schools, it does not mean that all those that received corporal punishment were misbehaving.
I can confidently suggest that there were many innocent recipients of corporal punishment.

Has there been a revolution in the last six months?
I must have missed it.

Not even comparable to what the 80s where like

Emile Heskey
Never experienced as a player how bad it was as whole. It was not just a few
