If I buy my push-fit barrier pipe in a coil, I find it a bugger to work with - What's the usual method of getting the damn stuff to hold straight, please!

plenty of clips,or you can buy straight lengths 3m/6m.better still use the proper stuff copper

Use Hep2o instead of speedfit.

Speedfit is coiled when 'soft' so retains the 'coil' in its 'memory', a right pig to lay straight.

Hep is kept straight until cooled and hard, then coiled, so its 'memory' is to try to uncoil and lay straight.

I won't use speedfit coils any more :x

(Off specific topic, but related)

like rolls of plastic curtain track - now that is annoying!!!! :x

I wouldn't use Speedfit or Hep have been to numerous failures of fittings on both
Speedsh*t - fittings go brittle after a few years, discolour (go brown) and then fall to pieces
HepPooO - the green grip rings have a nasty habit of splitting and or not gripping the pipe then pipe even with inserts just pops out of the fitting

you have been warned

Yeah, I much prefer copper too but some folks have ideas which just give me headaches....

Despite my preference, I've never had a problem with plastic fittings & usually use Hep2O but he's got a load of Speedfit I'm supposed to use...... d'oh!

If I remember correctly, he has a redundant hot water supply to his washer in the utility room..... maybe if I hitch a connection from there, let the reel loose and run some hot through it, it'll try and straighten!

Thanks for the input, folks!
