hi
I have a drive at the front of my property that’s not fenced off.
Would like an ac outlet for Xmas lights and strummer use etc
Is this legal
Should it be at height etc

Yes - plenty of exterior sockets available. It must be covered by an RCD if the circuit is not already covered by an RCD.

Best to have a switch inside so this could be an RCD switched Fused Connector Unit.

What are you planning to use as the source of the supply?

Height doesn't matter - too low might be damaged easily.
