I don’t. In case you didn’t know, I spent the last 25 odd years of my working life training young disadvantaged people. At around 14 years old, they didn’t need warning that there are hurty words out in the real world so why should those who are deemed clever enough to go to university be warned?

Some are just not for uni.

My eldest went and fair play bust a gut, got firsts and now has letters after his name and is working for more to be a chartered financial advisor.

The youngest went "for the experience". He is now getting involved in set shifting, running and being a roadie. He wants to get into Assistant Directorship.

He played on Saturday for his County U20s (Lancs) versus Devon at Twickenham on Saturday. We went to watch. Lancs won 36 22.

Talk about proud parents!

But the middle lad decided to do an apprenticeship out of 6th Form and went straight to work in IT. He loves it, calls his brothers losers for having debt and laughs at them!

But at the end of the day, as long as they are all happy in their lives, I'm happy.
