Suella Braverman defects to Reform UK

Have a look at the graph I linked previously.

There was a period where we imported, until the coal power stations retired. But the industry was already dying before Maggie, she had no effect at all on the rate of decline. It wasn't a persecution against unions, just what was already happening (under Labour) and was inevitable.
Maggie deliberately confronted the nu m with closures when stocks were low. Nothing to do with the industry dying.
Can you imagine sending the average 18 year old (or younger) down a mine these days?
There are no mines , the communities that produced the miners are gone, so no miners.
They'd have PTSD or some kind of stress attack. Plus of course you'd need to employ 50% women, and disabled people.
In your head
It looks like the most bloody awful job imaginable, plus the skies were black in every town and people died in their 50s with all the thick toxic pollution.
It was called Pneumoconiosis. You make it sound like Thatch put them out of their misery. Google Orgreave.

You think that Maggie actually killed the miners? They're still around, and their kids and grandkids are. They're not covered in black dust inside and out and haven't died though.

Maggie didn't put anyone out of their misery, she saved them from having awful working lives. The life of a miner would be utterly incompatible with modern living, can you really imagine someone back from t'pit doing a TikTok video with their black face?

What they should have done was create more jobs to replace the mines. They tried, e.g. Nissan and Sony opening factories with govt subsidies. But it wasn't enough. They should have offered people money to relocate to where the jobs were, mostly down south. They shouldn't have allowed people to rot on benefits in towns with no jobs.

Hey brains, I’ll ask you the same question that Noseall swerved. Let’s see if it’s too difficult for you too.
Should be a simple question for someone like you who describes yourself as a person "capable of independent thought".

Who do you think we should be voting for at the next GE?

(Watch Ellal try to swerve this by saying "Not Reform").
Looks like @ellal swerved it like I said he would - just like he swerves every other question that will embarrass him. Why am I not surprised?
