Now that the bricks are laid for the bbq I need some support for a grill and fryer.
What I need is something to fill a space 450mm deep x 1350mm long which will support a grill plate , weight 30kg and a fryer weight not a lot. I can envisage the top being tiled so I thought why not a piece of oak worktop routed out so the tiles sit flush with the surface. It would only have to be out during the warmer months and stored inside in winter times. Then I though would I be better with marine ply as opposed to a piece of oak. The oak I think would look nicer whereas the ply would need a fascia piece on the front. Would an oak piece, or similar be okay?
