How would you normally deal with a chimney breast support bracket installation on a gable wall, full plans application or building notice

Notice. If you know what you are doing.

The application should be for the removal of the breast, not the fitting of the support, as you don't know if the bracket is acceptable.
 
The chimney was removed probably 20yrs years ago and an inadequate support provided. This is remedial work to support the unsupported chimney breast
