Hi all.

I need to replace my stop cock, what's the consensus on these?

SureStop Water Switch Remote 15mm
Cold water mains supply turned off at the flick of a switch. Uses water pressure alone – no electrics, no batteries, no running costs. No seizing – eliminates problems associated with the traditional stop cock.

My stop cock is in the corner of the garage, I quite like the idea of a remote switch just inside the door. Worthwhile, or just a gimmick? anyone got one? fitted one?

Cheers all...

I would advise that if you insist on fitting one then use it in addition to, not as a replacement for, a traditional stopcock. Is it really worth it to save those few preciosu steps across the garage. They are good for people with mobility or muscular problems to use in an emergency.

Internal stopcock should be of a screwdown type confroming to BS1010 [Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999]

Agreed ... Use traditional for failsafe and Surestop for convenience.
