The spout which is a swivel one, has come away completely and I cant seem to screw it back into the base. Its now held in position with insulating tape and is leaking accordingly. Im told that I need a complete unit i.e with the two taps. The spout is the only problem. Can anyone advise please.

They are often secured with a grub screw in the back of the tap, and the spout needs to be pointing towards you before it is pushed back into the body and secured.
John :)

Sometimes they dont have a grub screw, and the spout needs to be turned at 90 degrees ie across the sink, before the spout can be lifted out or, indeed, put back in.
