Which is best for carpeted 1st floor rooms T&G Softwood or P5 Chipboard?

Either but the chipboard is cheaper and quicker to do, also glue the T&G as well and an extra noggins if needed.

for maintainance reasons always go for t&g pine floorboards.

the chipboard squeaks like bu****y too, even with all the joints glued.

it also rots if it gets wet.

we never deck out with it if we can help it. hire a set of floor cramps if you decide to fix pine.
