I have the flashing rinse light with "---" in the display. Brushes are ok. The drum turns 3 times and each time the rinse light flashes, the 3rd time it rotates, the machine pumps out the water and the "---" appear in the display.

I measured the tacho and it shows 12 MOhm, which seems high.
While turning the flywheel, it generates +- 1.5Vac...

Machine is a Miele W3505W (Oct 2005) - Type HW07-2
PCB is a EDPL166-B
Motor is an MRT 37

I don't think it is the PCB since the drum rotates a few times...
Is it the tacho? Can this be purchased separately from the motor?

Thanks!

I'm not too familiar with Miele but I don't think it's the tacho, especially if it rotates 3 times. To test the effect of a tacho fault you can either remove the magnet from the motor shaft or disconnect one of the wires. You could try asking on UKWhitegoods:

Does it surge or does the drum turn slowly?
Check there is not a break in the wiring to the PCB.
