Hi all, I would like to fit this service valve to this tap tail as that is what is already in situ.
I realise that the tap tail adaptor would be suitable here but the tap tail adapters commonly sold only have thread on one end.
Are there adaptors with threads on both ends that would be suitable here? - if not, what fitting should I buy ?
Many thanks

You may be able to use a male to male adapter but it might cut into the rubber, so personally I’d purchase a full bore isolation valve.

Thank you all ever so much.

Is it the case that all hexagonal nipples have a flat thread then ? - is that generally a standard thing?

As CBW references the reason I'm avoiding the straight couplers is to avoid cutting into the rubber washer.

Save some cash- get a 15mm compression full bore iso valve (with a nice big lever on, not the screw slot type), fit one end as normal to the tube (you'll need an insert if it's placcie), file the tapered face at the other end flat (brass is very soft, v easy job) and attach your tap tail

Quite simply that's the wrong solution, you wouldn't use a tap connector for anything else apart from fitting to the tail of a tap or say a toilet fill valve. You need to change the service valve (push fit fitting) for another valve.

Is it push fit you need to use? Or do you have tools that you can use?
